Introducing Airrex Infrared Heaters: A New Partnership and a Smarter Way to Heat Your Space

This winter, we’re excited to introduce a new product range.

We’ve partnered with Rex Nordic to bring Airrex infrared diesel heaters to Scotland: trusted, low-maintenance heaters designed for working environments.

From garages and workshops to greenhouses, warehouses and farm buildings, Airrex heaters are known for one thing: they just work. No fuss, no pipes, no smell — just clean, efficient heat when you need it most.

Why Airrex? Solid Performance, Low Running Costs

✔ Infrared heat warms the building, not the air

Instead of blowing hot air upwards (and out the door), infrared heat is absorbed directly into floors, walls, machinery and other surfaces. These warmed structures then release heat back into the space — keeping temperatures steady and fuel consumption low.

✔ Exceptionally low fuel use

One of the biggest surprises? How little diesel these heaters need once a building is fully warmed. It’s important to stress that you may need more fuel at first until the building warms up and starts retaining heat. Lots of customers see daily consumption around 2.5 litres, even in large workshop spaces.

✔ Reliable and low maintenance

Airrex units are proper work horses, they are built for busy working environments.

✔ Smart thermostat for automatic efficiency

Set your temperature and let the heater manage itself. It only burns fuel when needed, so you avoid wasted energy and unnecessary running costs.

Real-World Results

One example from Rex Nordic’s technical team highlights just how efficient these heaters can be:

• Warehouse volume: 480 m³

• Outdoor temp: around 0°C

• Indoor temp maintained: +15°C

• Fuel consumption: 2.5 litres per day

• Previous system: direct electric (much higher running costs)

• Maintenance: almost none

Once the building’s structure warmed through, the heater maintained temperature with short, efficient heating cycles — delivering big savings.

We have three models available:

AH-200i – from £1,750 + VAT

AH-300i – from £2,000 + VAT

AH-880i – from £2,625 + VAT

All offer the same clean, quiet, safe infrared heating – the heater you will need depends on the size of your space.

If you’re heating a workshop, farm building, garden room, marquee or temporary structure, we think you’ll be impressed by how cost-effective these heaters really are. We certainly were, which is why we’ve chosen to offer them.
