Why Do Our Prices Start "From"?

You'll notice that many of our prices are listed as "from £X" rather than as a fixed figure. We do this for one simple reason: every project is slightly different.

At Scotia Cabins, we believe in providing clear and honest pricing from the outset. While we always strive to be as accurate as possible, there are several factors that can affect the final cost of a project.

Location Matters

One of the biggest variables is where your cabin is being installed. Travel distances, transport arrangements and delivery logistics can differ significantly depending on your location. A project just down the road will naturally incur different costs to one at the far end of the country. OUr rule of thumb is if you are more than 40 miles from us, it will be a bit more. We always attempt to keep this as low as possible, as we know it is a pain, we just cannot work for free.

Every Site is Unique

Ground conditions, access restrictions, preparation works and installation requirements can vary from site to site. Some locations allow for a straightforward installation, while others may require additional equipment, preparation or specialist arrangements. There are also expectations from us about how the site will be when we get there. If you are not sure about this, please ask.

Additional Labour Requirements

Most projects can be completed with our standard installation team. Occasionally, however, a project may require additional personnel to safely and efficiently complete the work. This can depend on factors such as site access, lift requirements, installation complexity or timescales. We now we take a little longer on some jobs than we would have maybe in the past, have another body, and do what we can to make sure everyone is safe.

By displaying prices as "from", we can provide a realistic starting point whilst ensuring that any site-specific requirements are properly assessed before work begins.

Our aim is never to add unexpected charges. Quite the opposite. We would rather have an open conversation at the beginning, understand your requirements fully, and provide an accurate quotation that reflects exactly what is needed.
